IMPORTANT INFORMATION regarding steroid injections:
If at your appointment a steroid injection is advised this may be postponed if you:
• Have an infection
• Had a vaccine in the last 2 weeks (reduces effectiveness of the vaccine)
• Are on blood-thinning medication
Please seek advice from us if any apply to you.

Injection Information

You may be offered a steroid injection into a joint if you have rheumatoid or inflammatory arthritis or persistent pain from osteoarthritis.

If you have an infection or are taking warfarin it may not be possible to have a joint injection so please seek advice.
